[He tucks the envelope away, praying he never has to read it]
I... am no good with letters. I never have been. So... I wanted to make sure you know that these few weeks have been very dear to me. You've seen hints of my true nature lately. I am not a good man. But-
-you have made me want to be better. Or at least pretend like I am.
[The true reason he's been working so hard to help everyone]
she gapes at him for a minute, hand hovering near his shoulder. but then she tucks her hands in her lap. it's subtle this time, but she's very much blushing.
"I am not a good man."
Between him and Moriarty, some of the people most important to her aren't good people, are they? She doesn't know how to feel about that, because despite being sad and pessimistic, she's always clung to her morals. ]
I'm easy to please, aha. Don't doubt the happiness you've given me already.
[ fidget fidget. she tucks some of his hair behind his ear. ]
Well, after that, you can open the envelope, if you'd like. It's not a farewell letter, just--something I was a bit embarrassed to have you read, but I hope it suffices.
No, no, it's alright. Do keep in mind that I'm not a multi-faceted bard, though. Just a songstress.
[ If he opens it, that sentence will immediately become clear, because it's a song.
She wrote him a song, handwritten in full sheet music, with a note near the top that says it's should ideally be played on a lute, but an acoustic guitar will also suffice. The tune is pretty solid, if Ingway can read sheet music at all. It's soft and cute.
The lyrics are a story. A prince and a princess from different kingdoms locked in towers, like double Rapunzels. They can talk to each other and get to know each other, but it isn't until years later that they realize they have each other's keys in their own towers. The prince sends over his key first, so the princess can come and unlock his tower with hers. She's a little afraid, but hopeful, as she opens the door and sees him clearly for the first time.
It ends with a few verses spoken by the princess, though it's clearly just Azura talking. ]
Your kingdom's gone And so is mine But I'd like to stay by your side The future's dim Or so it seems So please let this bygone princess Be your queen
[Just gonna.... take hold of her chin and carefully kiss her. Not forceful- though this close up it's hard to hide it's more a fear of his own awkwardness than him trying to be a gentleman.]
[ Azura puts her hands on his shoulders and tugs him a little closer. By this point she's kissed a few people so she's less awkward, small victories. ]

I do? Ah, um....thank you.
[ accepting compliments, what's that ]

So, what caused you to sneak me away like this?

[ she pulls out an envelope from her pocket--a thick one, with multiple papers stuffed into it ]
...but don't open it now.

...are you worried about tomorrow? Wait, no, that's a foolish question.

What are these?

What did you want to speak about?

That's all I can ask of you. [ to try ] But even if you can't, I'll still stand with you.

Then... I shall do my best to not disappoint you, Azura.
